Crews from multiple towns battled an overnight fire that started at a home in Ridgefield Park Tuesday.
The fire broke out just after 2:30 a.m. on Brinkerhoff Street. Flames could be seen shooting from the roof and rear of at least one home, with possible impacts to neighboring houses. The blaze reached four alarms just after 3 a.m. as crews from Ridgefield Park and surrounding towns continued trying to douse the heavy flames.
At least one car was engulfed in flames as well.
A neighbor said he heard yelling and, when he looked out the window, saw the back of the home fully engulfed in flames. The neighbor said first responders ordered him to evacuate his home as smoke poured in. He said four people live in the home, including two children.
There is no reports of any injuries, but that has not been confirmed by officials.
Brinkerhoff Street is located about a block from the New Jersey Turnpike.
This is a developing story. More information will be posted as it becomes available.
