A Bridgeport man sustained serious injuries following a motorcycle crash on I-95 North in Milford Wednesday, state police say.

Police say they received reports of a crash between a Honda Civic and motorcycle around 1 p.m. half a mile before Exit 34.

They say the Honda was traveling in the left lane over the Moses Wheeler Bridge while the Yamaha motorcycle, operated by Thomas Dapp, was reportedly riding in between the left and center lanes and speeding.

Police say the vehicles collided near the hash mark that separates the left and center lanes. As a result, Dapp was ejected from the bike and landed in the center median.

He was taken to Bridgeport Hospital with a serious head injury, along with additional injuries. The driver of the Honda was not injured.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Michael Blanco at 203-696-2500 or at Michael.Blanco@ct.gov.
