A brush fire that led to the closure of Burr Pond State Park in Torrington on Tuesday has been put out, the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection says.
Officials say the seven-acre fire was put out just before 6 p.m.
DEEP says staff will return Wednesday morning for a status check and to extinguish any lingering hot spots.
It's not clear what caused the fire.
Torrington authorities are asking anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity or information on the fire to contact them.
